FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Which machine is right for me?

If you're new to sewing, our entry-level mechanical machines (like the JA1400 or JK17B) are a great, affordable starting point. If you want to try embroidery, the M330E is a good first embroidery machine. Growing a small business? Look at our Combination and Professional Embroidery ranges. Not sure? Email us at naeem@ninaventures.com with what you'd like to make and we'll point you in the right direction.

Where are you based?

We're an online retailer based in Pretoria, Gauteng, and we ship throughout South Africa. We don't have a walk-in showroom. Our sister business, Brother & Empisal Machines CC, operates from Durban Central and Pinetown in KwaZulu-Natal.

Are these genuine Brother machines?

Yes — all machines are genuine Brother products, sold with the applicable Brother South Africa manufacturer warranty.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we deliver across South Africa. See our Shipping Policy for timelines and details.

What payment methods do you accept?

See our Payment Options page for the full list of accepted payment methods.

Can I return a machine if I change my mind?

Unopened, unused machines in original packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery — see our Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Policy for full details.

Do you sell spare parts and consumables?

Yes — genuine Brother ink cartridges, sublimation paper, machine stands and other accessories are available in our Consumables & Accessories collection.

Do you offer training or support after I buy?

Buying advice and getting-started questions by phone, WhatsApp or email are free — ask us anything. Hands-on training is a separate, paid service delivered by our partners, including Brother & Empisal Machines CC in KwaZulu-Natal. It is not included with a machine, and the provider quotes you directly before you book. Any complimentary training we choose to include is at our discretion. See Training & Lessons.

Do you repair machines?

No. We're a retailer with no workshop. Repairs and servicing are carried out by Brother-authorised service partners, who quote and charge for the work directly. Tell us your model and town and we'll point you to the right one — see Service, Repairs & Support.
